Drifting away from serious poker analysis
If you’re looking for a podcast that is 25% reflection on its own intro sequence, 20% vamping on ads, 18% extemporaneous reviews of movies and baked goods, and (finally) 37% one person who is qualified to analyze poker strategy alternatively correcting and tolerating another person who isn’t, then look no further. If you’re looking to learn about anything other than croissants, then move along. Even an average poker player will learn more in ten minutes with Jonathan Little than six months with these guys. G&J, I used to learn from your podcast. Pour one out for the good ol’ days.
Hilarious
Listened for years and am finally breaking down and writing a review to counteract some dork bots that apparently want to listen to Walter Cronkite do poker strategy. These guys are hilarious and the poker strategy is...poker strategy. What do you want, shut up with the passive aggressive 2019 yelp reviews.
Rubs me the right way!
Funny dudes, cool hands, and interesting poker content. If you suggest enough hands you might even make the hall of fame!
Poker Messiahs
Great hand breakdown and plenty of laughs. The only podcast I don’t want to fast forward the adds of cause I know I’ll miss a chuckle or 2
(Insert title here)
I came for the hand breakdowns. I stay for the pure ridiculousness that mirrors the conversations I have with my buddies. Lot of laughs and great analysis.
Great Expertise
Perfect if you are looking for a podcast with more advanced commentary
Fun show
I stumbled onto this show at the start of 2018. Very glad I did! Both guys are funny, keep it light, and offer up a great fun insight to specific hands. I look forward to it weekly, hope they continue to add other casts.....

Like this show
Forced
Seems like the beginning part of the podcast always seems to rub me the wrong way with it being too much banter, and not enough in depth analysis on poker. It’s like they’re forcing us to get personal with a someone that we just want to be acquaintances with. Please, stick to the analysis and let the experts do the talking.
Thanks
Just wanted to say thank you. Thanks for always putting out consistent content. I know there are a ton of “part time” podcasts out there and you make sure to keep your shows coming each and every week. I always listen to your episodes as soon as I see the alert come up for a new one. Thank you!!
SteamPunkPlayer Approved
Yes, I listen often and sometimes, even while playing, if you can believe that. I just wish I could implement the thought process better when playing more often... but at very least it has helped me take a better look at the game from the 1000 ft view. Not 100% sold on the nitrogen gig, but you never say no to a good sponsor that helps produce good content. Wish them the absolute best in life. Thanks
Best podcast
Portland poker guys are a blast to listen to. Great content love how they don’t always agree makes it better to have different views and thinking!!
Unbelievably Great
I’ve never written a review for anything, but I felt the need to do so for this podcast. This show has the best mix of deep strategy, analysis, and entertainment that I’ve ever found in any Poker media. 90% Poker talk, 10% jokes and small talk makes for great listening that does not tire the brain. Talking about a single hand for an entire episode really allows you to get deep into ideas without the clutter of multiple hands. This is a must listen for players who take the game seriously.
Poker
One of the best poker podcasts well done guys keep it up
Great podcast
I’ve been listening to the podcast since the beginning, more then any other poker related material book video or podcast, these guys taught me how to think through a hand. They are easy to listen to. This podcast has made long car rides fast.
This podcast... is... FANTASGREAT!!
Fantastic content. Funny and insightful. Perfect listen for the morning and afternoon commute. These guys do such a wonderful job of breaking down hands. Don’t ever stop!

Tasty tasty souls
I started listening to this show because I know and love these 2 goofballs from our local poker games (where I eat their souls). I keep listening to it every week because it’s actually awesome and entertaining and improves my game while I commute.
Analysis is good. The rest is bad.
These guys love to hear themselves talk. Episodes are WAY longer than they need to be because both these dorks fancy themselves comedians. Stick to the poker/strategy analysis fellas.
I like fried Flounder too. Coleslaw, not so much.
This is one of my favorite podcasts. They have a great sense of humor, and go into detailed hand analysis. They discuss the hands as played and often go into "what if" scenarios. Great job guys!
These guys
I have played a lot of poker with these guys. I like to think that I am looking a few levels deeper than my opponents. I can't say that when it comes to Grant and Jonathan. These guys break hands down to the core, they cover math, physical, and betting tells in a way that is easy to understand and will help improve your thought process at the tables. They are 1000% not garbage humans
Must listen for avid poker players/fans
Extensive breakdowns of televised poker with a dash of humor. Keep up the good work guys. Also check out their other podcast "Sportnado". Well worth your time. They even got me to care the slightest bit of a sport I normally could care less about, basketball.
Smart, funny and helpful hand analysis
If you are a student of poker and are looking to improve your game, this podcast is for you. The hosts do a great job of picking hands apart carefully and intelligently, making sure to substantiate every claim with theory and mathematics. Going in depth about each action, they submit hypotheses on the players' thought processes and identify the myriad factors influencing whatever decision was made. By analyzing one hand, the guys use their sizeable host of knowledge and experience in poker, the mathematics and its general theories that you are constantly refreshing your game and identifying not only what the correct action in many different spots is, but WHY you would or wouldnt make that action. Great stuff guys, always enjoy your show. Keep it up!
Great poker analysis
Love the breakdowns.
